The study “Predictors of Receipt of Comprehensive Medication Reviews in Older Adults” by Coe et al. investigates the prevalence and determinants of comprehensive medication review (CMR) receipt among older adults, utilizing data from the National Poll on Healthy Aging (NPHA).

The findings highlight a significant gap between the availability of CMRs and their utilization. Enhancing awareness about insurance coverage and integrating pharmacists more effectively into healthcare teams could improve CMR uptake, potentially optimizing medication use and health outcomes among older adults.
