Psychosocial and physical workplace stressors contribute to cognitive health, with occupational segregation likely contributing to differences across demographic subgroups. Less is known about the co-occurrence of multidomain workplace stressors, their relation to cognitive health, and differences in associations across demographic subgroups. To address this gap, our study will link comprehensive, individual-level data from a regional, longitudinal cohort study, the Michigan Cognitive Aging Project (MCAP), with occupation-level information from the Occupational Information Network (O*NET). We will characterize patterns of multidomain workplace stressors, relate them to longitudinal cognitive health, and assess differences by demographic subgroups. Clearer contextualization of multidomain workplace stressors in relation to cognitive health will provide critical information to develop policies and interventions targeting workplace stressors to maintain the cognitive health of working adults.
