The CAPRA Pilot Core seeks to annually fund population-based pilot projects that aim to reduce the health and financial burden of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) and improve government and healthcare organization policy. Applicants who are new or early stage investigators. In addition to financial support, the Pilot Core will provide mentorship, technical assistance, tutorials, and project guidance to investigators transitioning into AD/ADRD research.
The CAPRA Pilot Core is led by Kristine Ajrouch, PhD, Deborah Levine, MD, MPH, and Edward C. Norton, PhD. Dr. Ajrouch is a Research Professor at the Institute for Social Research in the Research Center for Group Dynamics. Dr. Norton is the United Healthcare Professor of Health Care Management & Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and Professor Economics. Dr. Levine is Professor of Internal Medicine and Neurology at Michigan Medicine, University of Michigan.
Applications are solicited on an annual basis through a request for proposal that is accessible through the University of Michigan’s competition space online portal and will also be promoted broadly. We are currently not accepting Pilot Program applications.
