The Center to Accelerate Population Research in Alzheimer’s (CAPRA) is a federally funded P30 research center based at the University of Michigan.

Under the leadership of Julie Bynum, MD, MPH, CAPRA helps to develop an on-ramp for research investigators into the arena of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) research.

The societal impact of ADRD is large in scope. In addition to studies that will lead to prevention and cure, we need to develop new knowledge about how health systems, policy makers, and communities can address the needs of people at risk. CAPRA leverages its expertise and highly collaborative nature to stimulate multidisciplinary studies and research resources that will improve outcomes for growing populations with or at risk of ADRD.

CAPRA resides within the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation (IHPI) at the University of Michigan.
